Stop making your workers feel undervalued. Actually promote people and give them raises. It would be nice if shareholders weren't number one in all things. Even customers are taken advantage of.
There is knee jerk reaction to everything any employees and customers are worse off because of it. In stead of repositioning when times are tough everything is about cutting costs at expense of the future.
If upper management ever lived up to it's promises to it's employees. It's a high risk place to work, you never know when layoffs or furloughs are going to happen, so you always have to have more in savings for when things inevitably turn poorly.
