They give great benefits to the employees
Review from IT Dept
They only focus on maximizing margin under the guise of lowering cost, but they are not lowing price for patients. They are focused on portfolio management of new startup ventures and they have forgotten the core focus is patient care. They spin every answer to make it sound nice but hide truth.
Review from IT Dept
Your employees are your culture, when you show that you don’t care about them you ruin the culture. Bad cultures make bad companies and our top leadership has destroyed the culture.

The healthcare package is great for the area

Compensation has been fair. Pension is a huge bonus and the primary reason I haven’t left the company.
Review from IT Dept
I've gone to job interviews, and I've been offered 50-70% more than what Intermountain has to offer in basic compensation. if you go to Glassdoor, and you match your position to the Salt Lake region, Intermountain strategically undervalues employees by about 30% - easy.
Review from IT Dept
The HR group claims they paid in the middle of road for comparable jobs but the surveys they review are provided by mostly of internal employees so the results are skewed and if you look at outside organizations they pay significantly more. The pension is based on FV at retirement not today's $$.
Review from IT Dept
Happy with compensation but constantly worried that executive leadership will cut or outsource my job.
Review from IT Dept
My co-workers are the only thing keeping me at Intermountain.
Review from IT Dept
The people who actually do the work care about the patients and the work they do. Your co-workers are like family, unfortunately administration keep looking for way to make jobs difficult "increase the pain" until enough people leave instead of doing a layoff. Team members always try to help.
Review from IT Dept
less gossip and less time online
Review from IT Dept
The environment is mostly friendly and lower management understands and cares about the struggles of everyday employees.
Review from IT Dept
Fewer leaders, more peers. More hands to make the work easier. Every time I have a broad, town hall style meeting, its like I'm stuck in a seminar with a car salesman.
Review from IT Dept
Administration needs to stop lying to the staff about what they are really trying to accomplish. They have outsourced work to other countries and put patient information at risk. The CEO has had to increase his personal security because of his is so paranoid. No previous CEO needed to do this.
Review from IT Dept
Executive leadership needs to stop outsourcing. It is extremely ineffective, destroys morale, and gives our patients worse customer satisfaction.
Review from IT Dept
less than 2% of applicants are accepted, it takes a really long time to get any answers and you are told several different answers to the same question. They also fail to follow through on promises or commitments stating things have changed and we cannot provide x or y even though it was contracted

Working with professionals smarter than I.
Review from IT Dept
The executive team needs to be changed and the focus needs to go back to patient care and quality care and not trying to make more money through new venture investing. The CEO was fired from his last job for trying to do the same thing, if there is so much extra money to risk why not improve care?

All of my issues are with the very top of the organization.
