The company is very accepting and inclusive. Employees are very diverse. I enjoy interacting with different employees from every department.
There are different levels of pay depending on how many hours you've worked for the company. Raises are automatic. Even when you get to the highest level, there are still small raises to every level every year or so.
A lot of items are marked up. There are a lot of other department stores near us that have a lot more selection for way better prices. Also, I feel that the company cares more about their budget and making a profit than they do about employees having benefits.
In my store, there is a lot of favoritism. Also my manager cares a lot about coming in under budget. I think it's wrong that managers get a bonus for cutting our hours if that's what the budget calls for. Our manager schedules us to work when we've requested time off or we have prior engagements.
