I’ve learned a lot. It has been a nice little intro to the corporate world, but two years at Oracle seems unlikely.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Love my team. Oracle selects great people. I have met some of my best friends at Oracle over the last year.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I often feel overpaid. I recently switched from salary+quarterly bonus to salary+commission on closed deals. Very satisfied with the money (or potential money).
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There is generally a sense of teamwork combined with autonomy that I enjoy. We are free to run our own territories and manage our own day.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
There needs to be transparency, and a clear vision for the company as a whole. Often times, employees from director level all the way down have no idea what changes are coming.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Oracle is in a bad place in the market. It’s old, slow, and the sales framework I think makes companies hate us. We have 30 sales reps at least calling into a company at any given time. It’s chaos.
