My experience has been great but challenging (which I love!). This company likes to hire the best and the brightest talent. With that comes a lot of change and adability. Theres a lot of great ideas but they are not always executed well. You have to have motivation, drive, and a positive attitude.

I really enjoy the 9/80 plan where we have everyother Friday off. This is amazing when you enjoy traveling frequently and extended weekends! I also like the PTO, fitness center, and massage center.

Compensation is deeply comprehensive. There's also a great amount of detail put into the culture and day-to-day life here which I see as a form of compensation.

I feel valued as an employee but our managers should go through a manager taining before given a management position. There should be clear goals, clear visions, and good communication across the executive staff.

There is an effort to pay employees fairly and competitively. However, there is also an influence from Directors and above to bend the rules for those they like or referrals they bring in. For example, creating/changing a job solely to bump compensation or make an hourly employee salary.

My co-workers could continue to learn and get better, which is also true for myself. Continuing education, collaboration sessions, mentor programs, etc. would all help with that.

Employees need to learn how to approach those who are assisting them with projects. How some employees treat those who are helping them is unacceptable and there needs to be a better process to address those issues. Manager's often times either incite it or just let it occur.

A lot is expected of our people, but Overstock does a great job at providing resources and getting out of the way of the employees. There is an inordinate amount of attention to detail put into our day-to-day life here which makes our time at work extremely effective and fulfilling.

Onsite daycare, and doctor. Healthy food options. We go together to lunch as a team because we want to. Training and classes about how to use our benefits better. A mentoring program, amazing award winning internship program. Greenhouse!!

A big company that feels like a small startup. The laidback atmosphere and the autonomy. We celebrate wins and always look for ways to improve. We have an Overstock Womens Network plus a mentorship program that has really taken off and is very popular among employees.

The environment is undoubtedly fast-paced, but not inherently hectic. The campus was built in a way that encourages movement away from your desk. Ultimately, the belief is to provide employees with the resources they need and then getting out of their way and let them do their best work.
