Many people have been lied to about wages and instead of resolving the issue they assign lower wages and lie during the interview about how much they pay their employees.

Don't promise something especially as a GM or manager to your employees and then not deliver. Also not lying about what "we start out at..." wage and saying something different to another applicant.
