Sabre is large and the part that I have worked with has been good. There are many constraints that are a problem (customer commitments, legacy apps, and untrained employees) but we generally solve problems together, which is nice.
What makes you most happy at work?
Making good products makes me happy
What is the best part about your compensation package?
VCP and close-market pay with some flexibility of work location and PTO.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some of my team is great. Peers are competent and very capable. Others are hanging around when they aren't productive or able to contribute to the team goals.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Many leaders talk a good talk. The delivery plans are still unclear in many cases. Tech Debt is a massive risk that we need to be openly acknowledging and addressing.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
This is really hard. I'd say the rare investment in making modern software with high quality on the new platforms. We spend a TON of time on legacy concerns that don't improve our position. I like it when we fix tech debt and make good products.
