Have been working in the company for more than 20 years now, and it is still a very good employer for many aspects (salary, benefits, work flexibility) however, year over year, I am losing the trust in working for a true "technology leader" and unsure we will be able to realize our vision.
It's fairly good, but given the business environment, every year seems more risky than the previous—given that I have been in this company for a long tim
my colleagues, the opportunity to informally connect
VCP, merit increase, extra holidays (Christmas)
The effort to communicate as much openly as possible
transparency, engagement with employees, sense of cohesion as ELT
Transparency and true team work
the bonus based on productivity and performance (VCP, saythanks awards etc)
the number and range of initiatives created to fit all possible needs
I love my job. I have the privilege to do the work I wanted to do.
mutual support, informal and easy relationship, trust and respect for the person, resilience, focus, fun time as needed.
There is an ongoing effort to ensure everyone is clear on the objectives, the strategy and what is the role everyone has to play to get to it.
I believe there is a genuine care of employee welfare and fair work-life balance (which equals better productivity and performance in the long term) to balance some really tough expectations and pressures to deliver on commitments.
We support and help each others. we don't work in silos but keep exchanging info not to duplicate efforts. we share glory and pain. We have a great manager that collate the team together. we work hard and play hard :)
Despite all efforts (like P25), problems tend to remain the same and struggling to get resolved: ability to stick to committed deadlines in product roadmaps (or too ambitious in setting a deadline), overengineering processes and tasks, slow time to market, always lagging behind Amadeus.
