
Transparency, regular communication and honesty
Depending on the role, an individual may feel isolated from the team. Working in another region/country somehow made the isolation worse.
If you have questions, usually they are willing to help or point you to the person who may be able to help.
Time zone differences would mean that working beyond normal working hours is normal. Compensation need not be monetary but giving some extra time off or starting work later the next day will be good.
When it is a global company, why do new hires and back fills are restricted to a specific region or country? People need to be more aware of time zone differences and appreciate the different lens that team from other region offer.
