There will always be bureaucratic problems in a large world-wide corp, but I feel that the leaders of Sabre really try to do the best by people. My department has camaraderie and all help each other when they can and they will for you when needed.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I started in a very generic role and have been allowed & encouraged to expand technical skills and become a developer. I was allotted time to study and given tools to help me learn. Really appreciate my department.

I enjoy the environment at the Southlake office and all the events we have. I've been given and taken advantage of many growth opportunities and started a new career! I also appreciate being kept on during Covid and keep my benefits.

Most people are kind and courteous.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to work from home.

Sean Menke's leadership. VERY sad that he is leaving.

Mutual understanding and respect of each other's family priorities.

Sabre's consistent efforts to encourage physical and mental health by making different programs available.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
That they try - might not bat 1k but they put forth genuine effort to engage and listen to employees to improve the workplace.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel valued by my manager and team. I moved positions (in the same team) and am at the same level as I was.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Sean M and Shawn W both really seem to care about the employees and that was demonstrated through the pandemic and now making YEB permanent!
What are some of the best things about your team?
They care about each other on a personal level and understand if something comes up with a kid or if we need to work around a personal challenge.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't feel unvalued, with these economic times, inflation is killing us. If you are with the same company for a long period of time, you miss out on the industry salary bumps that accommodate inflation.
What makes you most happy at work?
Working from home so I can get things accomplished. However, if I come in and my team all goes to lunch, that is fun and I do look forward to it. Free lunch at the cafe has helped that.
What makes you most happy at work?
That I'm home!!!!! Love being able to hang with my pets. I can stop in the office sometimes but when I have a lot to do, I'm able to just be in my office with my dogs and 2 cats. :)
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Pay has not kept up with inflation and now that I have to come back into the office, that has added more cost. Personally, my family is down to 1 car now (daughter went off to college) and we can't afford to purchase another.
