Great people, great manager, and his manager. Too much politics, red tape, bureaucracy, complexity for a company this size. Frustrating environment. No decision of any significance can be made below SVP or higher level. So many secret projects and things leaking all the time mixed with rumors.
Been able to keep the company afloat during COVID-19
Dedication, Trust, Integrity, Effective Delivery
People we work with on a daily basis and my manager
As stated earlier, red tape/bureaucracy, etc. People we work with and direct managers are great; its everything else around that needs to change.
Somewhat decisive (see more focus on making hard and timely decisions) but yet to see it fully in action - top level leadership team in new and not yet proven
We work as a team and family together helping each other and the company in good and also in bad times. We are open and honest, collaborative, driven to get things done in adverse times.
Red tape, bureaucracy, getting anything done with other orgs (like TEO) is near impossible. Requires constant escalations to VP/SVP. What should take few minutes / days takes weeks because of processes, roadblocks. Moving to GCP is easy, but moving there with Sabre obstacles is 10x
Compensation not comparable to equivalent position in local market. Increment is nominal at best (does not keep up with inflation). Equity program is stagnant & not comparable to market nor grown over time. Equity has no value. Work-life balance is non-existent. Have to get more done with less.
Remove bureaucracy, red tape, and process. Eliminate territorial mentality. Simple things take too much effort and time. Get out of the way so people can things done. Invest more in less things with focus and attention vs peanut butter spread across the board and do things of no/negative value.
Salary is not commensurate with the DFW Tech market. There is a difference of entire CLP. e.g. Manager in other companies get paid as much as Director in Sabre; also Director in other companies get paid as much as VP in Sabre. Stock options are bad. This is actuals based on people leaving Sabre
