I am thoroughly happy with my employment.I now have a master's degree that directly benefits my current role, yet there are no avenues I see for a possible promotion or raise. This is a retention issue. In order to keep high quality workers, their pay must match their qualifications.
What makes you most happy at work?
The constantly changing field of technology, always learning something new, and opportunities to hone my skills.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Every team member is valued and listened to. Everyone is willing to help one another, and I never feel ignored.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We are a people first company. There is much emphasis placed on taking care of our employees, which leads to many great benefits. I never feel like the company cares more about numbers than they do about me as an employee or person.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the regular check-ins, the encouragement for honesty, the way they lean on the technical experts to help guide the department operations, and the genuine care that they show me as a team member, employee, and person. I feel heard as an employee.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
If there were more opportunities to move up in the company/team, or gain promotions. I truly believe that to retain high quality employees, you should pay them competitively especially as they gain additional qualifications. I am getting paid quite low vs other companies with a similar job role.
