I used to be really proud to work here. But lately it has felt like a completely different company and not in a good way. An EXECUTIVE literally told us "If you're worried about your pay decreasing with the change to hourly and commission, work harder." How is that supposed to make us feel?
The people on my team.
They're my family. We genuinely care about and are invested in each other's lives. <3
My team and the genuine joy that families' have at the end of their solar journey
I feel like the leadership team I've at least interacted with genuinely care about our happiness with the company and our experience as employees.
I think we do a really great job pushing a positivity mindset. I feel comfortable around the teams I work in and most new teams I interact with because we are striving for an inclusive environment and culture.
Sometimes it feels like we are numbers instead of people. I'd really love to see an active effort from leadership in ensuring employee morale and overall satisfaction in not only our day-to-day work, but also our pay, benefits, etc.
We are like a family in many ways. My team literally held me up through my divorce and have kept me going after the fact too. I feel lucky to have them. We support and champion each other beyond the work life.
Lately it's felt like culture and employee satisfaction are the bottom of the barrel. There are changes happening that are going to really hurt a lot of us financially, mentally, and emotionally. I don't really know how these things are improved because we don't have a say or choice in the matter.
Out of what feels like nowhere, it was announced that we were being placed into a new ops structure in which our pay was going to be cut down to hourly without a number attached and that it would also be a commission based role. It felt like a slap in the face. Don't really know how that's fixed :/
