I love Sunrun and there is so much going well. I just think there's this fast-paced ESPN-like attitude which is very traditional in corporation and moves away from intimacy, real stories, inclusivity. It feels like an old school sales mentality has taken over. Leadership needs serious DEI training.

Positive attitude, open to feedback, passionate about the work we do, integrity
What makes you most happy at work?
The opportunity to learn and grow. I feel that is really emphasized at Sunrun. There's a lot of trust in the power of employees.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Freedom time off, baby bonding time, EAP services though I'd love to see this expanded to six free sessions as you can't accomplish much in 3. When I told my therapist we get 3, she said "that's it?!"
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love anytime we are reminded that what we are doing has an environmental impact. I appreciate the times I do see investment in our DEI work, though it's not nearly enough. We need leadership supporting our efforts and not being gatekeepers.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
We need better values. Loving people is not tangible, whereas something like integrity or passion zooms in on what this means. Loving to create also is a bit vague. What about innovation, critical thinking, thinking outside of the box, collaboration? Love to run is not inclusive.
