Thomson Reuters – If I could send Steve Hasker flowers without it being weird, I would. He is my hero! He gets things done immediately, he's transparent about his reasoning, and he's generous and empathic to TR employees. In 1 year (and a challenging one!), he increased our stock over 20%. I'm quite giddy. | Comparably

What is the best part about your compensation package?

401k match was increased - quite nice, indeed.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The leadership team does good work, but there's a wee disconnect about how to forge ahead.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We bring out the best in each other. We share our ideas and concerns, then work them out together.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

There's an appeal to both the head and the heart. Innovation is encouraged (challenge status quo!) and inclusiveness is more than kindness - it's policy, it's community-building, and more.

What did you like most about the interview process?

It was straightforward and professional; if you've interviewed with a lot of companies that's not the majority! Everyone was so friendly. My second interview was a lunch invite. My first day there was cake. It was so helpful to meet everyone in a relaxed atmosphere.

What makes you most happy at work?

The control I have over defining my job. I can help someone in a different group without worrying where to charge that time or defend it. I can block time to be creative, to experiment, to research, to learn. My whole brain is alive and sparking. I'm not alone, either. We all do it.
