What does the leadership team need to get better at?
CEO Rob Painter is an inspirational leader. Unfortunately that cannot be said about our division management. No communication, not replying to emails, snarky comments, unclear roles and responsibilities etc. Behaviour that is considered bullying from the senior management in the division.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Trimble is historically underpaying versus other industry competitors. While pay isn't everything, for top performing employees, it can be a make or break decision to leave. For example, I received the top rating in my performance reviews yet I have received a lower than inflation merit compensation

I make 20k less than new hires in the same position. I have worked in this role for 3 years and with the company for 7.

I believe we would all feel better about compensation if raises were given at the same rate of inflation, instead of expecting us to be thankful for a 2% raise while inflation is between 7-12%

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
this horizontal structure is flawed in SO many ways, and rather than let it simmer for the next 18-24 months, I would make adjustments NOW. It doesn't work, and I believe it won't work in many ways, I don't think the executives can see this from their angle.

We need to more open, more aligned with ideas that CEO Painter has shared. If we can accomplish the culture he is driving in the real life, in action, Trimble will be a super place to work

We seem extremely conservative. There are a lot of rules about some processes to support compliance (revenue and export laws) in many ways, but the way we go about it does not seem efficient or consistent or clearly communicated.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
It is sometimes too much, too stressful.

No transparency from management, no leadership from manager, no support from manager. When I ask questions about career development I am looking for guidance, perspectives. But instead I get my questions turned around on me. I need management to support my actions as PM publicly.

There is a lot of work to do and a lot of pressure for results. But we lack resources (more team members) in order to get everything accomplished. A lot of us end up working extra hours which can be discouraging to go to work.

Lots of changes within the team. It seems like changes are happening often (mostly with people leaving) which simply prevents the rest of the team in continuing with the projects and delivering on the goals. Compensation should be adjusted to the local market.

The atmosphere. The lack of good and transparent leadership in our division. Lack of dignity and respect for others. Our culture is too North America centric. The wisdom doesn't always live in NA, and almost never ONLY in NA.
