What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Living the mission they preach. They are all talk and no action. They have no idea how the average worker feels. They live in ivory towers and have no clue how the people who actually do all the work feel. They absolutely clueless.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Having a HSA account that UL contributes to is very helpful for medical expenses.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Vacation time is a joke! As a middle manager, who has been there for 9 years, my vacation benefits are the same as someone just out of school starting today.

We work well together especially remotely. We take each other interests to heart and work together to meet our goals.

They all work as hard as I do. Regardless of the clueless upper management, my team and the teams I work with are phenomenal. The people that actually work there are amazing. They are going to leave soon because they are all working too hard.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our CEO is transparent and offers helpful knowledge to make the employees stronger. Also, she is not afraid to discuss difficult topics that happen in our country. By having multiple business groups such UL Parents Pride UL , celebrating International Women's Day provides an optimum culture for all

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Management needs to be more realistic about what team members can actually do. They should listen to middle management when they say we are being pushed too hard. Upper management has the attitude due whatever it takes to get the job done. If that is 12 hours a day and weekends, so be it.

What did you like most about the interview process?
I enjoyed meeting with two managers to get their perspective of working at UL. The HR manager and phone interview went very well.
