Management doesn't seem to know what they're doing & end up sabotaging (mostly women & trans) people's opportunities for growth & promotion rather than taking responsibility for the fact that they are not training their employees. Nor are they transparent with their communication.
We get a lot of PTO and don't have to wait three months before our benefits kick in.
They humanize their employees and truly believe in investing in them by offering motivating incentives, competitive pay, and open and honest communication.
Employees are consistently given more work than they get paid for; often doing the job of multiple people and receiving the pay of only one person.
Knowing that I belong to a company who's culture is all about care: care for their employees, care for their clients, and care for their integrity and reputation.
My team in particular seems like we have a better social culture than some of the other teams. We actually try to get to know each other and plan team-building events and exercises.
Everyone is genuinely invested in the success of the company and their co-workers. Management on all levels are committed to being the kind of management team we can respect and look forward to being managed by.
Managers need to be better about communication. Senior management needs to be better about curating training and making sure all new employees have what they need to be successful. The misogyny and transphobia needs to be addressed.
The flex PTO - if I need time off, I will almost always get it without having to worry about using it all up before the end of the year. I can focus on my own wellbeing instead of the stress of limited company standards.
Everyone is invested in each other and the success of the team and overall company. I know that if I have a question, someone will be there to answer it enthusiastically, not begrudgingly. Even when the department has faced unique challenges, every person does their part to take care of it together.
They need to be better about training and equipping their new employees with the tools and resources they need to be successful at their job instead of punishing them for things they didn't even know they were supposed to know. They also need to stop with misogyny. Men are very clearly favored here.
