It has been a fantastic experience. This company gave me the opportunity to actually put my talent to good use. I have a learning disability that I struggled with in my first career after college and I lost four jobs along the way. Vertafore was the first company to actually set me up for success.
Vertafore was the first company that really gave me a chance to operate how I need to in order to be successful given how I having some learning disabilities. I can say that I am starting to become more of a friend to more people and that I have found a home.
I am not sure if insurance is an industry I want to be in forever. However, I think understanding the nature of the business has significantly changed my perspective on our society and the entrepreneurial spirit in our country.
Vertafore has been wonderful! It was the first company that I felt like I was set up for success in and invested in me. I think that I will be here for quite a while.
Overall it has been pretty good. Vertafore was the first company that I was I was able to stay at for longer than a year. I credit their bootcamp programs to that. I really am disappointed with the pay but that is the only major downside I would call out.
They invest in people, not numbers.
I love our win together attitude.
Gradually improving my interpersonal skills in client-facing roles.
Uncapped commission potential on top of a base salary
Investment in people over profits
They are very personable and respect the value of work/life balance.
I love how collaborative everyone in the SMA PS space is.
They invest in people and treat people as people instead of numbers.
We are all very social and view this as a team sport.
Knowing that each day I am progressing as an employee and moving toward my goals.
I would say they do not lose sight of the big picture of this company's goals.
The fact that I am paid mostly based upon how well I am performing in my role.
The fact that I can always try new things at work and have unlimited potential to grow.
I would say the fact that they place a big emphasis on recognition at the all hands meetings
I feel like I am being invested in and not just being treated as another number at Vertafore.
The fact that I am in a great culture but learning an industry that touches every part of society.
The culture we have of all helping each other out and putting the customer as the first point of focus.
They are all serious people about their careers and highly motivated. I feel like they are all holding me accountable.
We push each other to be our best selves and everyone has a good deal of respect for work and life balance.
The ability to have my performance reflect how much I'll make in a given month while getting out of my comfort zone.
Denver is an expensive city to live in and I can get by but I think my role should pay 20% at the very minimum.
I think there should be more financial incentives geared around performance and surpassing our KPI's. I also feel like I need more opportunities for promotions and raises.
They make a great deal of effort to invest in people rather than treating them as just numbers. I also like the gamification recognition that the support department does.
I like the competitive attitude that my managers have, which gets me out of my comfort zone but really allows me to grow not only as a professional but as a human being too.
