I joined back in 2022 after making a transition in my career and I have not looked back, yet. I believe this is because how well taken care of I feel at this company but also because I genuinely enjoy my line of work.
What makes you most happy at work?
I get to assist Product and Dev solve problems.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are incredibly intelligent, self-sufficient, and supportive. We uplift each other as well.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My salary are $20-30k lower than industry standards but I am more than pleased with my benefits.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
With all the layoffs happening, Vertafore has kept its promise of not laying people off. They are approaching the cost of labor in a different way - hiring more off-shore developers than on-shore labor which is concern for many of us that are on-shore hires.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
As a remote employee that travels into Denver about 4%, I love being kept in the loop about the happenings of Denver Place and office events. There are many groups one could join, if interested. For example, I am part of Queertafore and the Book Club.
