I think this was a wonderful company to start at and a good company still. I think I've become disillusion with some of our customers and some of our commitments. I also feel like your experience varies from department to department. I'm lucky to be a favorite.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team supports each other and we agree. We're always looking out for each other's backs. We make each other laugh.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I don't really know. I think it's just the type of work and the type of customers we work with. I feel lonely. I also feel like I'm doing a lot of secretarial work.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I really like the resource groups we have here. I also like the ability to be flexible in situation regarding PTO, most of the time. I think our department allows us to socialize a bit.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I think they have their hearts in the right place. I just don't know if they're truly hearing and reacting to the complaints our customers have, such as contract terms. Other than that, the innovation is very cool.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It's mostly seeing other people leave for better wages, and understanding that Vertafore has a tendency to "underpay" because of the new, green hires they take on. I wish raises were more flexible than a cap of 3%. It definitely feels like this is the launchpad for my career.
