I have never once waivered in my decision to join Zulily even though I joined in a time of big transition for the company. It's nice to be part of a work environment where I feel I belong and am respected. I feel like the company cares about me as a person, not just an employee.

I liked Zulily so much, I boomeranged back after I left. I will say though that it's not the place for everyone. If you thrive in ambiguity, like to innovate and push the boundaries, and enjoy thinking on your feet - then Zulily will likely be a place you want to check out.

I have grown professionally here more than any other organization I've worked for. A lot of people perceive Zulily as a place to come when you don't have other options or if you want a spring board opportunity (get in, get out) but we have better leaders and policies now.

The best part about my compensation package is that there has been meaningful expansion of the pay bands so my role is paid fairly to market (a few years ago this wasn't always the case).

In terms of monetary compensation, I think Zulily does exactly what they say they're going to do. They make mid-market offers for the most part. Where I would love to see improvement is in our benefits, particularly PTO. I don't believe our policy is as competitive as it should be.

I think we are headed in the right direction for comp market evaluation but we need to move faster and more agressively here. I know it's difficult to find the dollars however due to our current business trend.
