While most jobs are done independently my department often plays games to encourage healthy competition and a nice morale boost during our afternoon slump. We are always encouraged to be safe and to hydrate.
Management works really hard to ensure the safety of their employees, they give back to the community, offer help in a multitude of ways, and show seemingly genuine concern for those who appear to be out of sorts.
Amazon kept my job waiting for me while I gave birth and made working through out my pregnancy a wonderful experience. They give employees paid time off, unpaid time off and vacation pay through out the year that can be used whenever the employees want.
Amazon has absolutely no tolerance poor management. Everyone in a leadership role is kind and knowledgeable at my site. However, there is a lot of shifting of management from one department to another and from one location to another. This inhibits the ability to build a rapport to move up.
