I walked into this organization looking for a job, and I have found a career.
I do like that they make themselves available and approachable.
I really liked that there was a lot of transparency.
I really like that the company invests in collaborators' health with no cost wellness programs
We have a dynamic team with a variety of life experiences that seems to have been vetted in such a way that we work well together.
The leadership at Nightingale actually does listen and implement ideas from collaborators, regardless of position or tenure, if it will benefit the organization. They truly care about us; it isn't just lip service.
I love the ability to change lives for the better, both on my team and in my learners. I also love that we are working towards bringing quality healthcare to those less privileged areas.
While Nightingale is technically for profit, the money isn't the bottom line. The leadership actually and honestly cares about the learners and collaborators, and works towards helping each become the best version of themselves that they can be.
The compensation packet for Nightingale is pretty impressive. While I can't speak to the health insurance, the vision and dental are top notch at an amazing price for collaborators. The bereavement/time off is some of the best I have seen in the US. The pay is fair, but could be better.
While I know that the whole, "we are a family" thing is usually a sign of a toxic work environment because it's just lip service used to manipulate, here that's not the case. There is never a time that a fellow collab is going through a tough time that the rest of the team doesn't step in to help.
