The RSUs are a huge component of the compensation packae that retains our employees. It is likely the reason that people have stayed despite fear of where we are headed and the insecurity of each person's job.
I love that Aneel has returned. We were all struggling at the employee level and having him back gives us hope. We are emerging from a dark 3 year period of layoffs and budget cuts and margin issues. I believe Aneel has a vision that will take us back to where we used to be.
The return to "Employees" as a core value is huge for me. We not only shifted it to be last on the value list but in some ways it was completely eliminated as a value in the last couple of years. Employees became a commodity only and were viewed and treated as expendable. No one was exempt.
