What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Give better salary, WFH and promote individual contributors, not just project managers or people good at making powerpoint presentations.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Some team mattes are trying to make the best out of att, and are truly trying to innovate, but managers micro manage and don't let developers do their job.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Let developers do their job, using new tech, and keep managers out of it. Managers try to understand the tech and draw technical requirements, but in reality they create highly restrictive environments to work in.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Asking around on linkedin lets people know that ATT salaries are well under market average. ATT claims to be on the edge of tech, but then try to low ball employees when it comes to compensation.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Actually listen and care for their employees. Right now there are no competitive salaries not benefits. Employees asked for flexibility and ability to WFH, and leadership did the exact opposite with no real justification, forcing people to go to the office and let good talent leave.
