I've been here a long time. It use to be fun. I use to be excited about coming in, but not anymore. There's no team member appreciation or support. These kids don't do their jobs like I do and yet they only make pennies less than I. That is so discouraging.

There is no leadership. The management at BJS has no desire to grow or nurture talent. They enforce the arbitrary goals handed down to them from corporate. Most management are just the idiots who stuck around long enough. Promoted because they were there, not for being qualified. Idiots mostly.

BJs changes ownership every other year or so. the new owners need to put their stamp on the running of the stores and assume waste and inefficiencies. THey come in and. tighten already suffocating policies and make it even harder to do your job while they demand better results

I worked at BJs for over 4 years and then they increased starting pay across the board and I then made the same amount of money as brand new employees with no training.

Everyone talks a good talk, though if you look beneath the surface the manager interviewing you is following a script. They have no idea what they are supposed to be looking for and just want a warm body in the position. They hire unqualified people then berate them into meeting their goals.
