What's the vibe like in the Operations dept at Amazon? How many hours are you working?
I work 40-60 hours weekly.... the vibe right now is chaos because we lost a lot of management and employees- and it doesn’t feel like everyone is on the same page like it did when I first started

Not common at all... Everyone seems to like their job position and I'm not sure that I've seen people transfer to a different department...

How does Amazon handle HR issues?
The HR is there to protect the company from potential liability not to advocate on behalf of employees. They do that really well. As far as your issues are concerned you are by yourself

I was hired on the spot for full time position dependent on background check being favorable. They drug tested me and did my picture for my ID during my interview.

The scale and scope of responsibilities even at an entry-level corporate role is fantastic. You're also given plenty of autonomy to pursue goals in your own way. Finally, the people you work with are generally top-tier individuals in terms of capability and accountability.
What do you wish you knew before starting at Amazon?
That with any degree doesnt matter you can jump to any management position instantly
Rotation, rotation, rotation, Working smart. Needing more mechanical tools for moving boxes. Instead of more physical exertions
The amount of favoritism and retaliation. Most of the managers don’t have a real business sense. They throw management vests to their buddies and or family members.

A person named "Rahul" who was generous and sincere to his work at the same time. It took arnd 1 week
My final round of interview that is the face to face conversation was taken by the manager named "Rahul" from the TRON Operations team. A wonderful person who drives you to achieve more in life.
I met HR and Safety and Plant Mgr and I found out that day and took my drug test and got my schedule
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at Amazon?
Self explanatory and you can do most of your orientation at home on a tablet or phone and they pay you.

Offices and large, small conference rooms in several buildings with AV office in every building.
Low cubes, open spaces. Very few offices.

Good people that are eager to please customers.
I’m pretty new so the admin community was really helpful and willing to lend an extra hand, but will be weary about how you interact and talk with some folks.
