how rewarding is your job?
It's mind numbing. The simple is made complicated. The complicated is perceived to be the standard.
Not much
Although I ???? working at Amazon, it just doesn't pay the bills. Almost everyone I spoke with that also work at Amazon has a second job or is looking for one just to make ends meet. I am considering leaving Amazon because I am literally living check to check. I can't afford to take vacations, go out to eat, or save for emergencies. I have done research on what other companies in the area pay and Amazon falls well below their pay scales. If Amazon paid more per hour, I would love to stay as long as I could.
Do you feel like the company is well-staffed, or are too many people spread thin?
Too thin. Excessive 60 hour weeks
Spread thin in the fulfillment center
Staffed ok
What makes you the most proud about working at Amazon?
Great Product design and satisfy our clients.

The work I did was really monotonous and my friends who r currently working there are getting stressed out to, which I believe is not good for health. I some survived in that process

Be open to learning and dive deep before making any decisions.
Does Amazon drug test or do a background check?
Yes, Amazon does a cheek swab drug test and they do a background check as well.
A back ground is done, no idea about drug test
I believe if you work at one of the actual physical locations, then yes, drug test and background checks are required. As I work from home I was not required to do a drug test. But I'm sure they did some kind of background on me at least concerning my work history.

What is the onboarding process like at Amazon and how long does it last?
It has been nearly one month since I've signed my offer letter and still have not done the training, I don't see why it is taking so long to schedule training days to get people onboarded. This is by far disappointing to see a leading delivery service have such poor onboarding. It should never take someone over a month to be hired at any company. Amazon, please talk to your people down in Viriginia and figure out a solution.
Four weeks. Lot of safety training.

in your opinion, are women treated differently? If you think so… how?
Better. Amazon treats white males very poorly.
yes due to mat leave and pregnancy
Yes...... women at my facility are overlooked for promotions and indirect roles simply because their women. Conversely some pretty women are treated more favorable another Associates
thoughts on unions?
No unions fire all union seekers
Probably a good idea . Employees at warehouses in particular blacks get disproportionately stock at low level jobs and most higher levels are not black and blacks have no mentors. A union would advocate for fairness and equality on behalf of all workers at Amazon. Right now HR supports mgmt. E mployees have no voice, no input, ideas are ignored.
I do not think Amazon will permit unions.

Cognitive skill
