What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Actually listening to the needs of their employees and not just pushing metrics for the sake of metrics. Our team is incredibly dedicated, motivated, gritty, and genuinely kind, but leadership is pushing us to operate at a pace that is unsustainable. Everyone is burnt out.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm paid a fair salary and commission based on my performance. If I work harder and reach goals I earn additional compensation. BHSG is privately held so the only perk I don't get is company stock or equity.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Base salary is really low for the high-cost-of-living area I live in! Really rough for the first few months as an AE before you have any business.

Compensation at the Director level and above is lacking due to the player coach role. Directors should be compensated at the same or a higher commisson rate than individual contributers due to the other duties they are required to perform as a player coach

The commission structure is different for people in certain states, but I believe it should be the same for each state. Those who work remote should have their at home office expenses covered - wifi, cell phone, etc.

We are very close as a team and really enjoy spending time together during events that are outside of work and team building events

More direct communication and being more open to feedback. Emotions run extremely high sometimes and we forget we are all working towards the same goal.

Our team doesn't judge each other and are there for each other when people anyone is facing challenges. We all have faith in each other and know that hard work will always pay off in the end. I feel like I can reach out to anyone on the team to get help if I don't have the answer.

What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview process was very conversational and each conversation I had from the initial recruiter conversation to meeting with our Regional Sales Manager increased my interest in BHSG . Those conversations allowed me to share my strength's, successes and goals for my career with BHSG.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I am judged by my coworkers for coming in and doing my work 8-5 (plus extra hours - as we are pushed to work but that isn't shared in interviews) and for not drinking. The only time coworkers hangout is when alcohol is also invited
