
The Leadership Team swings big, even if they don't always hit.
The company seems to really be backing our DEI initiatives, and is trying to restructure the company culture team in order to adapt to COVID times. How both end up going is still to be determined, but it's nice to see that they're at least giving it a little effort.
My team is constantly working on ways to streamline our processes, but I do feel like sometimes we're hamstrung by the bigger red tape of working with all of the other team to the point where what should be simple request have gotten bogged down and still haven't happened years later.
Compared to other companies, and the rising cost of living it's very apparent that we're not on equal footing. We lose people to higher paying jobs. We need to keep up not just with competitors but other start up, tech, and marketing firms if we want to win new people and retain current ones.
I've got a solid group of coworkers that I can talk to about pretty much anything. Leaning on them for help with work, talking about life outside work, everything. It's pretty safe to say that 2020 would have been 10x worse if I didn't have this group of people to talk to on an almost daily basis.
