Communication and showing associates human decency and respect.

Any desire to make the store feel like a team environment is gone. They would have to be better managers of HUMANS before anything else. It's clear corporate no longer cares what happens to store moral. They hire desk managers for DM and then wait for numbers to come in.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I work harder than most and know more than some of my supervisors but I feel like I’m taken advantage of and bullied. Higher pay

They don't pay me a living wage, they let an assistant manager bully me on a daily basis, and they don't offer me fair hours to match my schedule as a single parent.

What are some of the best things about your team?
The team members who have stayed in the longest know how to keep the store functioning while the SM sits in an office.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
They need to work their own shifts and not call out constantly; as well show they actually care about their work and not only their paycheck. I love my paychecks too but I love to earn them doing what I love.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company only cares about the customer being catered too even if it means we take a loss on returns that are damaged. What's positive? It's a job.

Absolutely nothing makes me happy at work. The entire experience is a nightmare.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The list is too long. The company doesn't care about it's original stores. It focuses on babying their new openings and then moves on. Regional managers only care that their numbers are green. You'd have to remove everyone at corporate to improve where it's going. It's Walmart for outdoors gear.
