What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication and fairness. No one at the store communicates even to the bare minimum to function, and especially not outside of their department.

Management needs to pay more attention to what is actually going on, on the sales floor. Though stocking of the shelves is important sales associates can't give good customer service and stock shelves at the same time. This causes extreme frustration causing low moral and even hatred.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Pay on performance based commission structures.

New hires are regularly being paid more than associates with significantly more experience and tenure. Insurance covers nearly nothing, profit sharing is a joke.

I'm expected to do the jobs of 3+ people and help train new hires and I barely get paid more than when I started.

I felt undervalued when they asked me to do overtime and I worked for 10 hours with no help and working three different departments by myself. They never said thank you i went over my fifth hour because they had a walk with the district managers.

A living wage, an employee discount, actually useful perks and some PROPER profit sharing, not piecemeal nonsense. I work with a women who has been there since the mid-90s and is just now making $15/hr. Place is a joke, no new employees take it seriously, at least not for long.

The only team i had were my coworkers in my department some of the best people to work with we could have been placed anywhere in the store and they'd still be the best at working together supporting eachother and making the job fun

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
A Home Depot needs a lot more training communication to further their company. Management is very bad on communicating with their associates and talking down on them making them feel bad. All they care about is their bonuses and how much money the stores making. They don't care about their employees
