I knew I had the job before the interview.
We all treat each other like human beings that are in the same boat not like machines that should be grateful for the opportunity to help dollar tree make money off our work.
Treating their employees with respect. I.E. making accurate work schedules with 2 weeks notice, fully staffing shifts so employees and managers can take their breaks without working off the clock. Also they need to let stores have more say over ordering so we don?
The hourly workers are the best part of the environment at the company. We all want to work somewhere we are happy be so we all try our best to make it a nice place to work based on the things we can control without corporate over site .
The compensation needs to be higher for hourly workers and State and Federal work laws need to be followed by the company. They have asst.managers clock out for breaks based on company policy but they have to stay in the building and help customers when called up off the clock.
Being paid more than the legal minimum with no benefits. I have to work 7 days and go to other stores to get close to 40 hours for the week. Also why not allow employees to work into over time. Is dollar tree really worried about paying 2-4 employees 1 1/2x min.wage for an couple hours once a week?
