good place to grow as a young professional, as long as you have good managers.
Review from HR Dept
trying as hard as possible to keep up with the fast-changing retail landscape.

They are good peeps and enjoy working with them
Review from HR Dept
They need to remember that they hired professionals in their respective fields to do the jobs they were hired to do. They have the opportunity to re-invent the way colleagues grow and learn but instead, keep adding bandaid on top of bandaid to the antiquated learning strategy.

The leadership at macy's does not care about their employees. They are all about the bottom line, the money they can take home, with no consideration for the lives of the lowly associates that actually interact with their customers daily
Review from HR Dept
Communicating news and being transparent.

benefits are subpar - all are geared toward sales associate level income. no stock options below VP level.

Better medical benefits, and a few sick days would help
Review from HR Dept
50% of my annual review is based on sales. I get a 1% increase, while the Store Manager gets a 5% increase, an annual bonus, and Stock Options.
Review from HR Dept
The pay is ok, the benefits need some improvement, and some of the perks we used to have need to be restored

too many unnecessary meetings. also A/V equipment is subpar and creates loss of productive time in video conference meetings.
Review from HR Dept
For the most part my co workers are great. There are few bad apples, and its hard for a company to keep good workers when they treat them so poorly. Some of the "incentive" programs Macy's offers pit associates against each other and that can cause conflicts
Review from HR Dept
Being transparent about organizational changes that affect our peers.
Review from HR Dept
Good relationships between colleagues, good work-life balance, job security, attractive salary, and good company values.
Review from HR Dept
They try to promote from within
Review from HR Dept
If leadership did things to show their appreciation for associates that would go a long way. It wouldn't necessarily have to be via a pay increase. The only incentive programs are for forcing customers to open credit cards. Nothing for good customer reviews, high sales numbers, productivity

Being transparent about organizational changes that affect the entire team.

It was very relaxed and informal.

When I get the opportunity to create compelling and innovative designs that will engage our colleagues in unique ways to allow them to grow and learn in their positions.
Review from HR Dept
Associates are under valued and they are the front lines of the company. They are the ones who interact with the customers on a daily basis. And when you feel negatively about you job because of the way you are treated it's hard to put on a positive face and help customers in the best way.
