What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Not everything at nCino is about BOS, yet it seems to be all we talk about. Other areas/departments of nCino feel left out. Also there is no discussion of DEI from the top, and quite frankly not enough diversity here as a company. I don't see nCino as a long term career option for me.

Clear Communication about expectations, understand that everyone learns at a different pace, offer actual help when its asked for. Not focus on the numbers so much and focus on employee. Transparency into why decisions are made. Works loads are super heavy and we continually get asked to do do more.

Team gets hemorrhaged by internal and external job opportunities constantly, even within the state or city (in regards to external opportunities). Historically, nCino has always underpaid.

Comparable comp in the market currently has me underpaid by nearly $45K a year. nCino teaches me a ton, but when I'm not getting paid market rate by that much, I feel its just plain disrespectful. Many feel that way and are exiting. Increase pay. Less focus on return to office

They care about culture. If we take 10 minutes to just chat about movies or local restaurants we arent getting side eyed by managers. They see culture as part of doing your job well. Which really speaks to a positive work-life balance.

Meeting several different people throughout the interview process and getting to ask questions on a 1:1 basis.

I liked that they made me do an assessment before the in-person interview to see how effectively I could solve problems. It helped give me a sense of what I'd be doing in the position as well, and that was great to get a feel for that.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

We cut back our budget on travel and expenses, but we have not invested any time or money towards our employees. We need more social gathering opportunities, specifically for people who are not based in Wilmington, or are remote.

Listen to staff! They do not want to be forced back into office, pay fairly based on market trends. Food and games in office is not a perk. People work to get paid, be trusted to work from anywhere and enjoy lives outside of work with the money they earn. Workloads are way to heavy as well
