There's a clique of sycophants and their besties, then there's everyone else. Collaboration is really about what makes the boss / fellow sycophants look good. I've twice had coworkers whom I out-rank introduce themselves to customers as my boss.

Generally the environment is positive, but there have been regular RiFs the past five years with the overall org size now about 60% of what it was. No replacement hires for attrition and large, regular layoffs. Any new hiring is strictly in India.

CODE is a false way the company pretends to value employees. They only care about stockholders. They surplus everyone that cares about the day to day life and keep number driven people.

Compensation trumps all for employees. It has to eventually go up or talented people leave. Especially in this economy, it can't be ignored

The company grows by acquisition so they don't need to or care to develop talent in house. It has a good reputation as a large stable company so there's always a fresh batch of new hires eager to join which means they don't care about compensating existing talent and accept talent leaving.
