What are some of the best things about your team?
My team are all knowledgeable and pleasant co-workers for the most part. As always, no working environment is perfect.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was simple, but it was also for a different company at the time. I have applied for a different position for this new company, and it's agonizing. Time consuming and no feedback.
What makes you most happy at work?
I get to work from home. That's the only thing that makes me happy. I do enjoy most of my coworkers, but I have always enjoyed my coworkers at any company I have worked.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The management team states that they are open and honest with their employees. I am in a position to be in those meetings. They withhold a lot of information, and lie to the employees. If your going to be transparent, be transparent. If not, then don't be. At least be honest.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
11 years in the same office, 20 years experience in the industry, and in a leadership role. In 2006 every single person that I compared salaries with made 25% less than I did. Since then, they have all surpassed me by 1.5X's or more. All economics taken into consideration my pay value is 1.7% less.
