One word: Refreshing! I have been fortunate to join pre-IPO, when Uber was still operating as a huge start-up. From there, I have been seeing the organisation evolve into a mature multinational one; and no setbacks (internal nor external) have impacted the intent or the pace of this evolution.

Overall Uber is one place where I feel my work is visibly contributing to how the company is changing the face of the mobility industry, and I am proud to be able to do intellectually stimulating work alongside some fantastic colleagues.

Meeting and working with intelligent and welcoming colleagues, solving problems and challenges, creating scalable processes and pathways for future hyper growth.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone has a system of shared values, and objectives that drive us towards what we call One Uber - basically when Uber wins, we all win.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Strong sense of where we are and where we want to get, and what we need to do to get there. Their empathy towards the team and their wellbeing.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
All round package that adequately compensates me for my work, and also covers health, wellness, dental, vision, etc. besides other perks like free food at work, Uber credits, 17% employee discount

I think it is a fairly well rounded package that pays for performance, yet is industry competitive. Also the benefits (especially the expanded benefits offered during COVID-19) are really relevant and helpful.

High degree of ownership, focus on delivering the right way, leadership support to fail fast, learn, and move on; and our working style exemplifying our motto of moving fast, far, and together.
