I never knew what I was missing until I joined Uber. There are so many things to love about it, from the mission to the coworkers, from the great benefits to the day-to-day work. I feel really grateful to be here.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The executive leadership team is both extremely well versed and competent, but also comes off as incredibly approachable and down-to-earth at the same time. I trust them to do the right thing always.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
It's amazing that Uber has achieved pay equity, and I appreciate that compensation is based on performance and not past roles. The base salary is very good, and, in combination, with the bonus and the equity, I'm very pleased.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I have found the culture at Uber to be just a really welcoming place to be. From day one I felt like the team and company really wanted to set me up for success and to give me opportunities to grow in my skills and knowledge.
What makes you most happy at work?
I truly believe in the mission of Uber and the ability the company has to make a positive impact on the world in many different spheres (environment, safety, health, etc.). The company is so innovative and fast moving, which makes it a really exciting place to work.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Im a nUber and my team has been really helpful, patient, and understanding as I get ramped up. They take the time to answer all of my questions fully and do so with a smile on their faces. Everyone is very casual and fun, and we have weekly huddles just to check in and get to know each other more.
