Finding talent for Uber makes me happy.
We have a lot of work to do, but the fact that our leadership is trying is great. Specifically my direct leaders.
We have processes in place, but not everyone follows them. It seems like it is the same people constantly, however there are no consequences that I can see. There is a huge discrepancy in our numbers, which should be a red flag, but somehow it is not.
If my responsibilities were what I was told when I was hired, the pay would be fair. However, with the additional responsibilities, meetings, etc., the amount of time I have left is not enough to do my actual job so I have to work additional hours, which lowers my compensation.
I have gotten to know some great people and I have learned so much, especially from the Engineers on the team I support. They are open to questions about the team and tech. I have also met some great coworkers and it is great to bounce ideas off one another.
