HubSpot's culture around diversity, inclusion, and belonging is idealistic and performative at best. I have had several experiences of microaggressions and other harmful behaviors directed toward me by both colleagues and customers, and HubSpot's response has always been to just assume good intent.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am the only queer black femme on my entire team, definitely not the least tenured on the team, but I am the least paid. I was also skipped over for ACR last year on the team. The last team member to join my team was offered more than I currently make.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I do work on two teams, half of which is not recognized or compensated for. it is expected that I continue to do this work, deliver value to customers, upskill my team, build and facilitate cross-organizational trainings, etc. I do not feel valued nor do I feel like I am fairly compensated.
