My overall experience so far is mostly positive. While I did not get placed on a team that was inline with most my already held skills, I did get placed on a team that is able to take advantage of my skill to learn quickly and adapt which plays into my love of learning new things.

Thus far it has been good. I was worried at first since I had joined a team that was not exactly inline with my experience, but it has given me the opportunity to find things that I enjoy doing and uses other talents I have.
