Middle and upper management are in their own little world, HR is terrible, bad managers and engineers are rehired, good people trying to move up are blown off.

Stop the micro-managing and use common sense. Develope a better preventative maintenance program. Develope proactive mentality instead of reactive mentalities. It would save millions on maintenance costs.

People need to be more confident in their own decision making. They also need to better themselves. Learning doesn't stop when you are employed.

Was a good environment 5 years ago, but multiple managerial changes/turnovers yield near-constant turmoil.

Arconic does not concern itself with work life balance. Women have no voice and all the women managers have been driven out. Disrespect and belittling is an everyday occurrence.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Pay is stagnant, although it used to be the area leader. Management turnover/movement is high.

There is nothing but production. No safety,training ,planning,we are understaffed, no advancement oppurtunities,no quality in our products. It never was like this before. May need a shakeup of our management team

The machine shop general manager has no idea what he is doing when managing a machine shop. Besides, he has an attitude that he is better than everyone else. He says some people "are beneath him."

Alcoa/Arconic knows about the problems at our site but refuse to address them because at the end of every month we make our numbers.

They need to bring someone from outside in with a open ear and open mind to listen to the people. Waco Texas. The morral is the worst in my 20 years of service. And that's across the whole plant
