Our area is small and we are a family

Our manager is also a member of our local community. She is a part of my AMR family. We take care of each other and she makes sure we work, but also understands if we need time off or have family issues.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Our station pays standby pay, so despite being in uniform and available to respond within minutes, we receive only $3 an hour.

Iowa is the only state where AMR employees work "on call". We are paid $3 an hour despite the fact that we have to be in uniform and stay local and able to respond within 10 minutes or less of a call.
