What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team shows support and guides staff with professionalism and has the best interests of Cognia.

Managers are dedicated to their positions. Department heads are knowledgeable. Would like to see more accountability at the executive level. There seems to be a lack of vision and transparency overall. Company direction often seems reactionary and back-footed.

Recognize employees who are working hard and get rid of staff who just work half days and do not add value to their teams.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The health benefits package is the best when compared to other employers I have worked for. The 403b is amazing, and I can say I am not sure any other employer could come close to our benefits package.

Retirement is great. Do not feel salaries are balanced - even though there was an attempt to do this previously. Open positions are posted at higher rates than current positions are earning. Director roles being posted at Senior Director salaries.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The folks that bring the most money into Cognia are paid the least. There is no incentive to bring in more business, do quality work, or improve. All opportunities are given to folks who are directors or above with the RAE's treated as peasants.

What makes you most happy at work?
I love working for Cognia. I enjoy working with the districts/ schools, getting to know the leadership. Knowing I am helping our customers achieve their goals and continuous improvement efforts is very satisfying. When they call just to say hi, that makes my day! Relationships are everything!
