I am a new employee (this is week #6) and am still learning my job. The pace of instruction combined with assignment responsibilities has been a good combination, allowing me to learn, absorb, and then put into practice what I have learned.

This is the best job I have ever had, and I am sorry that I did not come to work for Elsevier years ago. My experience working for their competitors makes me realize what an outstanding company Elsevier is and they are the industry leader for that reason.

They are always available with support and help when needed, and even though I work remotely, the opportunities for casual web-meetings encourage personal connections.

Information available so we can research and find solutions on our own, but if we need help there are multiple ways that others are ready to offer support and guidance.

I love help authors and my customer solve problems, and what makes me most happy is knowing that my contributions are providing value to the company and to scientific research.

The opportunity to learn and grow in my position, using a large array of bite-sized training sessions as well as watching videos of the meetings I was unable to attend. The communication at Elsevier is superb.
What makes you most happy at work?
I enjoy being challenged while solving author and customer questions and obstacles. Being busy and feeling productive at the end of each day without experiencing stress is the best part of my job. I have the tools and colleague support to be able to overcome every obstacle I encounter.
