Elsevier has a great culture of promoting professional growth. They do not exclusively promote from within, recognising talent wherever the source, but if you are want to develop your skills, you will find your colleagues genuinely want to help you excel and share opportunities openly.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
It can be hard to connect in a more human way across international teams. My team are lovely, but high demands on our time mean we feel the pressure not to spend any time on matters not of strict professional relevance. Getting to know your colleagues as people is important too though!
