My experience at Elsevier has been great. I am happy to find a job I excel at and feel comfortable in while also having the opportunity for vertical or horizontal progression, which is often encouraged when roles become available.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team are experienced and extremely helpful in any situation. There has never been any issue with asking questions and providing feedback with is crucial to my development as an employee and person.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe some roles are paid less than what the responsibility and knowledge dictates. With rising living costs and general inflation, salary reviews are necessary as without this we are falling behind and not providing employees what is needed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Elsevier encourages us to spend time together as a team and is happy to provide the resources for us to do so. Everyone is approachable for any issues or questions and these are taken on board professionally.
What makes you most happy at work?
I can take my work at the pace I wish, as long as my days work is completed by the time I log off. I can also share a laugh with my colleagues and we have a great team dynamic which makes me feel very welcome and included.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team are very much invested in us as individuals and are keen to see us excel at our positions. Any necessary points are brought up promptly and in a friendly manner. I have never had an issue speaking openly and they are open to feedback constantly.
