We all get on really well despite (or maybe because of?) our diverse range of ages, cultures, backgrounds and past work experience.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone has the chance to shine. People are not told to restrict themselves purely to a narrow range of duties. Any innovations one brings in are valued and carefully considered.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Elsevier still believes in a bonus based on the performance of the whole team. The success of the work I do doesn't come in isolation, but through partnering with my colleagues. Those who succeed together deserve to be rewarded together.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
When I hear from our CEO at a Townhall meeting, what I hear is not the distant voice of someone disengaged from the lives of their less senior employees, but someone who speaks to us warmly, like a valued colleague. Not everyone at that level has this. It makes a real difference.
